Bear National

August 1st - The Beginning of the Bear Journey

As the calendar turns to August 1st, a significant day for many aspiring young cyclists is here. For the next three weeks, the Bear National Team opens its doors to a new wave of applications. I've been working tirelessly to craft a resume worthy of their attention. This season, my national ranking in my age group soared, a testament to my work ethic and passion for cycling. With my credentials in place, I feel it’s time to throw my hat in the ring.

Over the course of the season, I’ve become friends with a few of the Bear riders. One Bear rider, Michael Ziomek, generously shared his application insights, offering valuable tips on preparing the necessary information. Armed with his guidance, I embraced the application process with purpose.

I gathered recommendation letters early and took the time to craft a personal essay that expressed who I am as a person and cyclist. I’ve adapted my narrative to align with what I believe Bear values in their riders. The online application is complete and my essay and recommendation letters uploaded, all that remains is to wait for September 4th. The day the selections are announced.

September 1, 2023 - A Dream Realized

Today, I find myself in a state of shock and overwhelming joy. A welcome email from Bear has landed in my inbox, and I’m thrilled beyond words. This is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.

Reflecting on this journey, I'm excited about the opportunities that being a part of the Bear National Team will bring. It's not just about joining a team; it's about becoming part of a community that shares my passion and drive. I am ready for the challenges, the camaraderie, and the growth that awaits.

Stay tuned as this new chapter unfolds, and I dive headfirst into the adventures that being a Bear rider will undoubtedly bring.
